Products you buy through our links may earn us a commission. Oh, and if something's out of stock, oops, it was there (and all prices were accurate) at time of publication.

We’ll admit it: One major perk of our job as editors is that we get to try out tons of products to let you know if they’re truly worth your hard-earned money. We’re also just avid shoppers, so in the spirit of tossing gatekeeping to the curb, we’re sharing a few standout favorites from the past month that we usually reserve for the group chat. Welcome to the inside scoop.

A styling cream perfect for slickbacks...

I got a sample of Emi Jay's new styling cream and have been a total convert since. I never knew what to use on my ponytails or buns, and since I have curlier hair, I always struggled with some level of frizz around my crown. This takes care of that by helping me create really chic slickbacks without hardening my hair. Also, it smells amazing. I've used it on my hair in the morning and when passing my boyfriend to leave for work, he's specifically commented that something on me smells really good. I'm always shocked that he can smell it when I use such a small amount. —Alexandra Napoli

The best oatmeal we've ever had...

Most days, the thought of making my morning oatmeal quite literally gets me out of bed. It’s warm, comforting, nutritious, and keeps me full until lunch. I was in a secure relationship with Quaker Original before I tried Seven Sundays, but now, I have to admit it’s the best oatmeal I’ve ever had. It’s made with gluten-free oats, flax and chia seeds, and oat protein, but without refined sugars. The mixed berry flavor is my favorite since it has dried berries mixed in. It’s pricey, but it’ll get you excited about eating breakfast. (You can also get a three-pack on Amazon here.) —Martha Upton

A new candle that's selling out quickly...

I used to swear by P.F. Candle Co.'s Golden Coast candle back in college, and I've loved the brand ever since. I've recently been obsessed with their new Milky Santal candle. It reminds me of Le Labo's Santal 33 (but it's half the price), and it has creamier notes that make the scent a little more mild, which I prefer. This candle has been a bestseller with good reason, so grab it while it's still in stock. I know I'll be buying backups while I can. —Margo Ghertner

The IPL device that helps us prepare for bare-legs season...

We’re almost in dresses/shorts/swimsuits season, so this is my annual reminder of how great Nood is. I’d spent years (and thousands of dollars) doing in-house laser hair removal treatments, and for me, this works almost as well as professional services. It has six intensity levels so you can adjust depending on your pain tolerance (though I promise, it’s not as painful as you might think) and genuinely couldn’t be simpler to use. After using it about twice a week for a couple of weeks, the hair is pretty much gone. It might grow back within a couple of months, but it’s much sparser. And I love how easy it is to whip this back out for touchups. —Caroline Goldstein

An outfit that's great for transitional weather...

When spring showed up, I realized my warm-weather wardrobe was lacking. So when Bernardo offered me these two pieces from their spring collection, I didn’t hesitate to accept. The fabric feels so good, and the fit is chef’s kiss, especially on my 5-foot-2 frame. I’ve worn this vest with the matching pants everywhere — coffee runs, drinks with friends, church, even on a flight. It just works for every occasion. —Sarai Thompson

A body lotion we can't stop using...

I've always been a big fan of Weleda, but their Skin Food body moisturizer is actually next level. It has a subtle sweet orange and lavender scent, but it doesn't compete with my other fragrances. I reach for it after my everything showers, particularly when I've shaved my legs, and my skin feels hydrated well into the following day. Plus, it's under $20. —Alessandra Rey

Our new favorite beauty mini...

I traveled internationally recently (while braving those TSA lines) and frantically ran to Target for some last-minute skin care minis. I've seen Byoma pop up on my feed for months now, so I decided to try their milky toner. One word: wow. It's a funky little square bottle that packs a dewy, hydrating punch. It absorbs quickly and leaves a nice glow, without feeling sticky. It's now my go-to travel toner. —Alessandra Rey
