There’s only one way to properly get through winter, and that’s by burning candles so cozy, they feel like a warm hug. Not sure where to start? We asked our shopping editors to share their go-to winter candles and the accessories that help them last all season long.

A vanilla candle that gets the job done…
Introducing the vanilla candle we can’t stop burning. This one isn’t your basic option because it also has notes of incense, oud, and cacao. It’s an affordable option you can’t go wrong with. The best part? It has two wicks to ensure even burning. ($13.28, Walmart)

A gift-ready trio that’ll get you in the spirit…
Between scents like “i have a cabin update,” and "hot roasted nut cart," this candle duo will have your space smelling like a cozy (much-needed) weekend getaway. We love this brand because their candles are made of a soy- and coconut-wax blend. If you’re sensitive to scent, their fragrances are immersive without being too strong. ($86, Literie)

One for days when you’re feeling stir-crazy…
The worst feeling = those WFH days when you want to get out and do something, but you can’t because you’re just too busy (or it’s too damn cold). This cabin fever candle is made of a crackling wooden wick and smells almost like forest air (think: citrus, cedar, and golden amber). ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A woodsy candle that’s always on our wish list…
If you're someone who likes to keep the holiday season energy going, you'll love this Voluspa candle. The clean-burning, coconut-wax blend is hand-poured and will fill your home with notes of Douglas fir needles, rosemary, juniper mint, cedarwood, and hints of cardamom and amber. It smells like reading by the fire on chilly winter’s day, and it’s under $20. ($15, Nordstrom)

A mini vetiver candle loved by Monica Geller herself…
Courteney Cox (aka, the Monica Geller) now has her own cleaning product and home fragrance line. Feels fitting, right? We’re obsessed with Homecourt’s classic “Cece” fragrance. The smell reminds us of firewood, without being too smoky and intense. We suggest getting the mini version to try before spending money on the full size. ($25, Homecourt)

A candle we’re using on our next snow day…
Or if we want to bring in the snowy vibes without an impending storm. The notes on this one from Homesick are too good to resist: crisp air, spruce, vanilla, frosted mint, juniper, brown sugar, and so much more. Plus, at just under $30 dollars and a nearly 80-hour burn time, the value here is pretty good. ($29.95, Homesick)

A classic candle that will freshen up your space...
As we cling to our New Year's resolutions, we're turning to this candle to help cleanse and freshen up our space. It doesn't just look super chic, it's also free from parabens, burn up to 60 hours, and comes in a reusable glass holder — which makes for a great bookshelf accessory or pen holder, btw. ($48, Nest)

A candle dedicated to cozy nights…
We’re not going to lie, the name of this candle inspired us to pick it up. And it was worth it because it’s just that relaxing. “Cozy Nights” smells like a mix of nutmeg, frankincense, and sandalwood, and comes in a glowy amber-colored vessel. Get the travel size to easily pack it. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

An arroyo oak-scented candle that’s giving Amanda Woods…
There are few things we envy more than Cameron Diaz’s character’s home in “The Holiday.” It’s clean, sleek, and fully embodied by this Cali-inspired candle. With warm notes of wild sage, vetiver, chopped cedar, and oak, you’ll be wondering when the Santa Anas will start blowing through (iykyk). ($24, P.F. Candle Co.)

A candle that comforts you like a warm blanket…
A candle by any other name simply wouldn’t smell as sweet or comforting as this “Cozy Cashmere Blanket” candle. It has notes of bergamot and violet for a soothing scent that’ll have you curling up on the couch for hours on end. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A dimmable warmer that maximizes your candle’s burn time…
This vintage-style, flame-free warmer produces zero smoke and soot, and, therefore, zero stress. The dimming feature controls the heat levels as well. It also has a timer you can set for two, four, or eight hours before it shuts off automatically. The hardest part? Picking your favorite design from their list. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A rechargeable electric lighter that’s worth the investment…
One shopping editor calls this Flume electric lighter a must for anyone shopping candles this season (and beyond). It’s a great way to light up your space without getting your fingers dirty or using an open flame. It’s also super easy to charge (hint: just use a USB-C cable) and will light up to 100 candles before needing a recharge. ($58, Anthropologie)
