As a shopping editor, I’m constantly thinking about the products that improve the quality of my day, including the pieces that make getting dressed all the easier. In honor of our first-annual Tiny Upgrades Week, I’ve compiled a list of those items spanning everything from undergarments and small accessories to one-and-done pieces.

Undergarments

The nipple covers that aren’t uncomfortable to wear…
I can confirm that Cakes’ Sticky Circles are worth their endless social media hype. On top of being derm-approved, they’re made of a nontoxic silicone that doesn’t irritate my eczema-prone skin. I’ve found that they provide seamless coverage and support that’s undetectable under most garments. My favorite detail: an adhesive-free Nip Nook that won’t rip your nipples off upon removal. ($33, Cakes)

A T-shirt that’ll keep you extra warm…
When in doubt, throw on Uniqlo Heattech. The cult-favorite garments are made of a special thermal fabric that’ll keep heat close to your body. I’ve worn this Ultra Warm T-shirt both on its own and layered underneath sweaters. It washes well, though I always make sure to air-dry it. I love that it’s such a thin, yet flexible layer that provides tons of warmth. I couldn’t have survived a trip to Iceland years ago without it. ($34.90, Uniqlo)

A layering piece for cutting back on laundry…
These Numi undershirts are a genius hack for maintaining the longevity of fancier sweaters. If you’re prone to sweating (or BO, no judgement), these act as a solid middle layer that’ll absorb bacteria while keeping your garments clean. Just throw the undershirt itself into the wash when you’re done. It’s perfect for wearing underneath cashmere sweaters. ($65, Numi)

A bralette for when you aren’t in the mood…
On the days when I don’t feel like wearing a bra, but still need some support, I turn to this soft bralette from Embrace. It comes in both nursing and nonnursing options. The fabric is disgustingly soft, which means that it feels like you’re not wearing a bra at all. I love the matching briefs, too.

The seamless underwear that’s bridal-shop approved…
Ahead of shopping for wedding dresses this past fall, I impulsively purchased these seamless briefs from Spanx. I was shockingly, continuously complimented by bridal stylists on them, which made me feel confident in all of my appointments. With light compression, ample coverage, and no seams, they really are that good. If you have an event coming up and don’t want visible panty lines, these are a fantastic non-thong option. Skimm’rs have purchased them in bulk, too. ($28, Spanx)
Small Accessories

A fluffy scarf that’ll elevate even the most casual of outfits…
My go-to uniform is a pair of jeans, a tee, and a sweater layered on top. And while I love how I feel every time I wear that outfit formula, I like to turn to accessories to change it up. This fluffy, chunky scarf from Damson Madder provides some extra warmth, while the green printed detailing adds some interest. The shade of green will also carry me into a chillier spring. I’m also into this striped triangle scarf for warmer climates. ($88, Free People)

Some cashmere-blend socks…
Another way I love to zhuzh up my every day outfit formula: add some cashmere socks. I usually go for a fun hue to pair with whatever loafer or sneaker I’m wearing. These J.Crew ones are pricey, but they’re thin enough to wear in the spring, and have a longstanding following. If you’re looking for a less expensive alternative, try these from Quince. ($59.50, J.Crew)

An unexpected accessory you’ll see everywhere this year…
I have Colman Domingo to thank for my obsession with brooches, so I’ve been on a deep dive for my fiancé’s wedding look. These birth flower ones from Etsy are equal parts chic and stunning, and they’ll add some flair to blazers, sweaters, and coats. ($15, KaskeArtDesign via Etsy)

A pair of earrings that make every outfit look better…
I invested in this pear-cut pair of earrings from Dorsey last year, and ever since, they’ve become my most-reached-for piece of jewelry. There’s something about the upside down pear shape that adds a little bit of edge, plus they look great with everything from a basic tee to cocktail dresses. I have the petite size, but you can pick from sizes up to a large in metals like 18-karat gold vermeil and sterling silver. They’re made of lab-grown white sapphires, but the quality is so incredible that no one can tell the difference. BaubleBar also has a similar pair for less. ($275+, Dorsey)
One-and-Done Pieces

Another genius option from Uniqlo…
These Pufftech pieces from Uniqlo are understandably going viral for making the most impractical clothing pieces practical. Because they’re collarless, you can layer them underneath jackets and coats that don’t provide warmth on their own. The vest version is pretty much sold out, but this full jacket version is still in stock. I also think they’re stylish enough to wear on their own. ($49.90, Uniqlo)

A tuck-in collar you didn’t know you needed…
Whether you’re prone to overheating or hate the feeling of countless layers, this tuck-in collar will give you the look of wearing a full button-down without the added bulk. While this might not be something you’d immediately think you’d need, once you have it, you’ll understand why it’s a game changer. Our editors love wearing them underneath sweaters, sweaterdresses, or thicker longsleeve tees. ($40, Favorite Daughter)

The adult version of the shelf-bra tank you wore in high school…
One of 2025’s best trends? The return of the shelf-bra camisole. I love wearing mine on its own or underneath cardigans and jackets. My go-to: This ribbed one from Embrace. As I mentioned earlier, the brand’s fabrics are so soft, and on top of that, they wash so well that the fabric gets even softer. ($70, Embrace)

A pair of soft pants you can dress up…
Towards the tail end of last year, I wrote about WFH-friendly pants that aren’t leggings. One pair I’ve been seeing everywhere are these Balloon Pants from Le Bon Shoppe. On top of coming in unique colors, their tapered, barrel-like legs make every casual outfit look cool. If you’re looking for a pair of lounge pants to take you from the couch to errands with no shame, look to these. ($94, Ban.do)

Some clogs for those with arch issues…
While I don’t have plantar fasciitis, I do have nonexistent arches. Because of that, I turn to insoles to keep my feet supported and comfortable. Fulton is a brand our editors have loved for ages because its insoles are affordable. They’re made of cork, so when you wear them over time, they’ll mold to the shape of your feet and provide the exact support you need. The brand just launched a sleek The Row-adjacent clog with the same cushioned insoles. Buy both the clogs and the separate insoles in this bundle. ($138, Fulton)

A jacket that’ll make your entire outfit…
On the days our editors have no idea what to wear, we turn to this scarf coat from Quince. While it’s a dupe for the $1,200 version from Toteme, it’s pretty hard to tell the difference. It’s made of merino wool for added warmth, and because the scarf is built-in, all you have to do is throw it on to feel put-together. ($200, Quince)

An updated take on your basic tee…
Last year, Old Navy’s Cropped Snug Tee had its moment and then some. This year, Old Navy launched a boatneck version. The silhouette of this one makes it feel more like a top than a tee, so if you’re wanting to wear an outfit that’s casual, yet a little bit elevated, this tee will provide just that. It’ll also layer well underneath a blazer. ($6.80+, Old Navy)
