Test Results…

  • Ease of use. While I find Crest Whitestrips effective, for me, they’re a hassle. On top of taking at least 30 minutes per sitting, I find that they slide around. With SNOW’s whitening strips, they only take about 20 minutes per sitting, and once they’ve fully dissolved, you know you’re done.

  • Effectiveness. My dental hygienist told me that because there’s such a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide in these whitening strips, it’ll take time to see results. I used them over the course of six weeks, and my teeth were noticeably brighter and whiter. Not to the point where it looked like I got them professionally done, but I’m very pleased with the end result. They look natural, which I personally like more. I also found that the purple color-correcting version was more effective. Maybe it‘s the optical illusion of the purple cancelling out some of the yellow staining on my teeth, but both immediately and over time, I saw a more sustained brightness from the purple version.

  • Price. The most frustrating thing about these strips is that they’re individually wrapped, meaning unlike Crest, you’re not getting a top strip and a bottom strip in one pack. Instead, you’re getting around 40 individual strips, which ends up leaving you with less over time (based upon how fast you use them, and if you do both your top and lower teeth at the same time). For context, Crest comes out to about $1.25 for both top and bottom, while SNOW comes out to $1-$2 for a single strip.

Sidenotes…

  • I have sensitive gums, so I found that I could only use these for three days in a row before I felt tingling. I’d take a break for a few days and then pick back up again.
