Test Results…

  • Ease of use. I was shocked at how well this worked. If you hate doing your hair or find it difficult to use curling irons or air wraps, this tool is for you. It has one button and one setting that heats the device up to 355 degrees. All you have to do is twirl your hair around the barrel and pull to create tension. You’ll have a bouncy blowout-esque look in seconds.

  • Speed. I have mid-length, Type 1B hair (fine, with a slight wave). I was able to style my entire head in a little under 10 minutes. It might take you longer if you have thicker hair, but this tool is suitable for all hair types. If you have longer hair, the brand makes one with a larger barrel, too.

  • Frizz-free design. This tool releases negative ions when heated to reduce moisture loss and static in the hair. It’s also ceramic-coated, which I love because my hair glided right through it. I particularly like this tool for my shorter layers that sometimes need quick touch-ups between washes. It’d also be great for those with bangs.

  • Compact nature. This tool is small, lightweight, and easy to travel with. I took it with me on multiple trips and appreciated how it didn’t take up much space in my bag. You don’t have to worry about switching out attachments either. It also isn’t weighty, so my arm isn’t tired afterwards.

Sidenotes…

  • This tool is not a substitute for a blow-dryer and is meant to be used on completely dry hair.

  • The tool comes in two sizes, medium at 38mm and large at 45mm.

  • It has a 9-foot swivel cord, auto shut-off after an hour, and one 355-degree setting.

  • An added perk: It has universal voltage, so you can take it on the go without having to worry about a voltage converter.
