I’m going to be honest here: When it comes to activewear, I’m always on the lookout for lower-priced items. There’s something about knowing I’m going to sweat through anything I wear during a workout that keeps me from splurging on it. But when I got my hands on a few pieces from FP Movement’s Never Better collection, I knew I was about to change my tune. Their leggings and buttery-soft dresses quickly became staples, and unfortunately for my $20 leggings, they’re all I wear now. Was it worth it? 100%. Here’s why.

Why I love the Never Better leggings…

  • Material. It’s sleek, it’s smooth, it’s sweat-wicking, and it’s just so enjoyable to wear. The flat-stitched seams make itchy edges a thing of the past and the compression is just tight enough to help me feel supported, yet light enough to fall asleep on the couch in (which I did…a lot).

  • Silhouette. I love that these are high-waisted enough to wear with a crop tops while I run errands around town or grab coffee with a friend. The slightly cropped ⅞ length also looks good with any kind of socks-and-shoes combo (I like ankle socks for a sportier look or crew socks for a more retro vibe).

  • Stay put-ability. I am happy to report no riding up or slipping down. These leggings become a second skin in the best way. Even when I snuck my keys in the hidden pocket or ran for seven minutes straight on the treadmill, each part of the legging stayed exactly where I wanted it to.

  • Color options. Simply put, there are 22 of them. So you can imagine my dilemma while trying to add only three to my cart (spoiler: I added five). I especially love the Oxblood shade, which really pops with a neutral or light tank, but I can see myself adding a black sweater when the temp drops. Chances are, if you have a favorite color, you’ll find a corresponding pair of these leggings.

Never Better Dress

Why I love the Never Better dress…

  • Comfort. This is an absolute dream to wear. It has FP Movement’s signature buttery-soft material, with four-way stretch that helped me feel supported yet flexible. It comes with built-in shorts and a built-in bra so you really don’t need much else. It’s my favorite thing to wear when I don’t feel like wearing anything at all.

  • Versatility. I’ve worn this dress to a dive bar with my boyfriend, a low-impact workout class, and on walks with friends. Each time I’ve paired it with different types of sneakers (both trainers and casual styles). The square neck, thick straps, and ruched skirt make it easy to pass off as a non-workout dress. I’d rec pairing it with a denim jacket and statement earrings for a more put-together look.

  • Breathability. You’d think a built-in bra, built-in shorts, and an added layer of fabric would start to weigh on you after a while, but actually, the opposite is true. This dress stays breezy and lightweight the entire time it’s on. The back features a cool cutout design and racerback straps so you can enjoy extra airiness, while still feeling supported.

A supportive cami for workouts or brunch…

When I tell you I wish I had this cami in the “Electric Sunset” colorway for the “Barbie” premiere last summer, just know I am speaking from the bottom of my heart. This has thick, supportive straps that are extremely comfortable. It comes with a built-in bra that’s great for light-to-medium intensity workouts, though I paired this with loose-fitting white cargo pants for day-to-day wear. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this top to nearly every outdoor event on my cal this season (thank you, sweat-wicking material). ($58)

A sporty tank that doubles as a comfy corset...

If you’re looking for something slightly less cropped than the cami, try this tank. I didn’t think I’d be as obsessed with the corset-inspired shape and curved hem as I am, but it’s just so flattering. The back features unique cutouts for extra airflow and the built-in bra keeps you supported. My only qualm with this top is that it runs a little small, so I’d recommend sizing up. As a size 36DDD, my chest made the top part stretch out a bit, but I did love how the rest of the tank hugged my waist. ($68)

A square-neck bra you can wear under anything…

Aka, the Never Better leggings’ best friend. I was originally interested in this wireless, square-neck sports bra after leaving an old bra in the dressing room at a department store (it had been a long day). So I was very excited to find this bra to be just as smooth and comfortable as my previous one. The racerback straps keep me feeling supported all day long. Again, these activewear tops tend to run a little small, so if you’re afraid of spillage, try sizing up. I do love how many colors are available for this bra, so you better believe I’ll be snagging a few more to wear under tees and button-downs this summer. ($48)
