Products you buy through our links may earn us a commission. Oh, and if something's out of stock, oops, it was there (and all prices were accurate) at time of publication.

Welcome to Skimm Tested, where we put products to the test and then give 'em a report card. (Check out all of our tried-and-tested faves here.)

The assignment…

To see how well Voweek’s electric spin scrubber ($39.99+) works to remove soap scum, grime, and whatever else is plaguing your home, especially in showers and on grout. If something can make cleaning less of a labor-intensive chore, sign us up.

Straight A’s in…

  • Efficiency and effectiveness. The spin scrubber greatly reduces the time you need to spend cleaning. It also works extremely well on ceramic and concrete tile. PS: We tried it on gray grout and it came through.

  • Getting the job done. If you’re someone who finds little joy in cleaning, this gadget does the hard work for you. It can alleviate the amount of elbow grease necessary for a deep clean and make reaching those tough-to-reach crevices a breeze.

  • Accessories. The provided attachments mean you can do a lot — scrub shower corners, grout lines, and even tub jets. The flex head is great at hitting walls and the base of a tub at different angles, which means you don’t have to reach far or bend over (hello, back relief).

  • Battery life. We’ve used it for long periods of time (about an hour consecutively) and the indicator light was still green once we finished. When we did plug it in for a charge, we noticed it juiced up in under an hour.

Room for growth…

  • Grip comfort. When wet, there’s not really an ideal place for your hands to get a secure grip. This can make the scrubber slippery and uncomfy to control at times.

  • Accessories. While the options included can get the job done, we would love a larger attachment for floors and something cloth-like for cleaning windows and doors.

Plays well with…

  • Anyone who dreads cleaning, especially when it comes to their bathroom.

  • Those with injuries or persistent discomfort. You won’t have to bend over or reach at awkward angles. Most of the cleaning can be done from outside the shower itself.

Gets extra credit for…

  • Value. For the price, we think it’s hugely worth it. Anything that makes cleaning day easier and prevents us from straining? Sold.

How we did our homework…

  • One Skimm editor used the electric spin scrubber multiple times in her bathroom, paying special attention to how it improved the cleaning experience. Did she have to work as hard? Did it make doing a deep clean faster? She tested the different head attachments, used it at its three available lengths, and made sure the battery life was adequate for the tasks at hand.

Footnotes…

  • $39.99+

  • Available in three colors

  • Can be used anywhere in the house, but particularly bathrooms
