From the Group Chat: The “Wuthering Heights” Press Tour, Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton, and the 2026 Winter Olympics

EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Sunday. My 37th birthday is Thursday, but according to everyone (read: Harry Styles and Jennifer Lopez), I should celebrate like it’s my 25th. Meaning, I should dig out the day-to-night look I wore religiously back then (somehow having a revival) and the boots that were, frankly, everything to me in 2015. A few other things the internet is (successfully) persuading me to do this week?

Deeply important information

👟 Dakota Johnson just stepped out in the next big sneaker trend — and trust us, you’re going to have feelings about it.

🫧 Um, apparently we should all be leaving our shampoo on? And for more than two seconds? Excuse us while we spiral over every shower we’ve ever taken.

❄️ Stylish women everywhere are ditching their sweatpants for this alternative — which is just as cozy, yet even chicer.

💁‍♀️ Oversized scrunchies and claw clips, you’ve had your moment. These are the if-you-know-you-know hair accessories that’ll instantly elevate any outfit.

😎 This middle school status symbol is back — with a high-fashion rebrand. Time to raid our childhood bedrooms.

I can't look away.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi

Apologies to Elphaba and Glinda, but the Queen of Method Dressing™ has reclaimed her throne. That’s right, with well under a fortnight to go before Wuthering Heights (sorry, “Wuthering Heights”) hits theaters, Margot Robbie has swapped her closet of life-size Barbie clothes for the Cool Girl version of period dressing. The highlights? A 100-carat take on this Y2K staple (Claire’s could never) and a corseted gown that has Taylor Swift’s wedding dress written all over it; a heart-shaped diamond and ruby necklace that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor (paired with a matchy-matchy mani featuring over 1 carat of real stones); and a coat best described as “Penny Lane [meets] Empress Joséphine” (what’s underneath would have 18th-century women grabbing their sniffing salts). No surprise, there have also been So. Many. Corsets. That includes this bra-baring snakeskin number, which would look ridiculous on literally anyone else. And she wore this rococo-influencer getup on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she shared that her friends threw her character a fake bachelorette party (copying the theme ASAP).

But we’d be remiss not to mention the other half of this love story. Costar Jacob Elordi — whose casting was, shall we say, heavily debated — has also committed to the bit, with trendy leather ties (not sure we agree with this headline), yuppie gray suits, and a cropped Chanel jacket that may or may not be stolen from Michelle Obama. Which suggests that director Emerald Fennell’s certifiably bonkers strategy for creating chemistry between the two worked out well. Arguably, too well. On the press circuit, Elordi and Robbie have sent the internet into a frenzy with what he’s described as “a mutual obsession.” Sure, we haven’t reached finger-holding levels of weirdness yet, but Robbie (who, worth mentioning, is married to someone who’s not Elordi) said she became “like, codependent” with Elordi and felt “like a kid without their blanket” when he wasn’t around — a statement that would be an HR crisis in any other context. Plus, there was Elordi’s grand gesture for Valentine’s Day, those custom-made matching signet rings (warning: the inscription goes incredibly hard), and this flirty moment that’s so middle school, it’s actually triggering. But perhaps this is all part of Fennell’s master plan to get audiences to cry so hard, they do this. In which case, movie theater employees, beware.

Wait, they’re dating??
Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian

Pump the brakes on whatever you’re doing — we need to talk about the latest (completely unconfirmed) celeb couple: Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton. Even though the Former Grocery Shopper and the Formula 1 star were reportedly seen ringing in 2026 at the same New Year’s Eve party, rumors really picked up after they embarked on what appeared to be a whirlwind international date: According to The Sun, last weekend, the two checked into a Cotswolds manor for a romantic getaway with a couples massage, a private dinner, and exclusive use of the spa facilities (relatable). From there, the pair supposedly jetted to Paris, where TMZ snagged a few predictably blurry images of their arrival at an equally outrageous hotel. As for what went down in the City of Light? Apparently, Bridgerton season 4, five-star hotel cheesecake, and Kardashian’s best Kimily in Paris ensemble. Could it just have been an extremely hands-on creative meeting for the next Skims campaign? (The brand does love its athletes). Were they discussing a winning strategy for the 2026 F1 season? Or is this the IRL friends-to-lovers story we never knew we needed? Last month, Kardashian shared what she was looking for in a partner on her sister Khloé’s podcast: “Good morals and values, a calm person, dependable,” she said, adding, “Takes accountability.” From where we’re sitting, we’d say Hamilton fits the bill perfectly.

Tom Brady

Which took approximately .5 seconds to clock what Tom Brady’s string of selfies was giving.

Need something to watch.
 Lindsay Vonn and Alysa Liu

Ciao to our social lives because the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics are officially underway. Athletes have checked in to the surprisingly nice Olympic Cottage (oops, Village), some of the opening ceremony uniforms already took home gold (looking at you, Mongolia), and the cafeteria food reviews are rolling in (sorry, but nothing will convince us this is a “good Margherita” pizza). Oh, and there are still two weeks of actual competition ahead (check out our full calendar here). So, to help you navigate it all, here are some of the events we’re most excited about this week:

🏅 Team Figure Skating (today at 1:30 pm ET on Peacock and USA): The team competition wraps up, with the US attempting to defend its gold. Fingers crossed the athletes don’t have to wait as long for the medal ceremony as they did last time.

🏅 Women’s Ice Hockey (Monday at 2:40 pm ET on Peacock and USA): The US will face off against Switzerland in its third preliminary game, before going head-to-head with Canada the following day (2:10 pm ET on Peacock and USA). Safe to say the tension will be…heated.

🏅 Men’s Figure Skating (Tuesday 12:30 pm ET on Peacock and USA): Following “Minionsgate,” Spanish figure skater Tomàs-Llorenç Guarino Sabaté will get to cosplay as a Minion after all. Though, something tells us he might get upstaged by Quad God Ilia Malinin

🏅 Women’s Snowboard Half-Pipe Qualifications (Wednesday at 4:30 am ET on Peacock): Chloe Kim will take her first step toward becoming the first woman to win three consecutive golds in the half-pipe — last-minute shoulder injury be damned. Finals are the following day at 1:30 pm ET (on Peacock and USA).

🏅 Women’s Doubles Luge (Wednesday at 11 am ET on Peacock and USA): Tune in to watch a sport make history before the event even kicks off.

🏅 Women’s Super-G (Thursday at 5:30 am ET on Peacock and USA): While we attempt to will ourselves out of bed, Lindsay Vonn is expected to compete in her final Olympic event with a torn ACL.

No notes.
